Russia, UAE satisfied with state of bilateral relations - Russian foreign minister

MOSCOW, May 28. /TASS/. Russia and the United Arab Emirates are satisfied with the development of cooperation in all spheres, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Thursday after talks with his UAE counterpart Abdallah bin Zayid Al Nuhayyan. "We exchanges views on the state of bilateral relations," he said. "We are satisfied with their development in all spheres, including political dialogue, trade, investments, military technical cooperation, humanitarian and cultural ties." Lavrov noted that Al Nuhayyan would meet with Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, who is a Russian co-chairman of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, on Friday, May 29. "Issues of our cooperation in trade and investment sphere will be discussed in detail," he said. "I think we are satisfied with the results of the talks. They confirmed our commitment to confidential dialogue and promotion of the entire complex of relations between Russia and the United Arab Emirates," the Russian foreign minister added. Al Nuhayyan, in turn, stressed that his country was paying "big attention to the development of relations with Russia in the political, military and economic spheres, and in culture." "We are very serious about expanding relations in all these spheres," he said. The minister said he hoped that the forthcoming meetings with Manturov would help "build up these efforts that will be crowned with new achievements."
