Seminar To Introduce Iran's Economic Capacities Held In Italy

Rome, Nov 23, IRNA – A seminar to introduce Iran's trade and economic capacities was held in Italian city of Torino. More than 200 company directors, industrialists, businessmen and investors participated in the one-day seminar on Tuesday. Head of Torino Chamber of Commerce and European Union Chamber of Commerce Alessandro Barberis said in the seminar that he will try to settle problems on the way of Italian side for investment in Iran. He noted that the seminar is going to help Italian companies, which are interested in cooperation with Iran and expressed Torino chamber of commerce readiness to support Italian firms to start and expand cooperation with Iran. Iran Ambassador to Italy Seyed Mohammad Ali Hosseini, in his speech in the seminar, by referring to some western countries imposing sanctions against Iran, said that these countries are following their own political motives, so it would be better if governments consider their own national interests and let the private sector do its own business. He added that Iran with a vast area, young population, plenty and different capacities, many interesting points and rich resources is not appropriate for sanctions, and as a matter of fact, those who impose sanctions against such a market are depriving themselves of a big market./end
