Skirmish on Syrian-Turkish border, one injured

Azerbaijan, Baku, June 6 /Trend R.Hafizoglu / A skirmish between Syrian refugees and police has taken place on the Syrian-Turkish border in the province of Hatay, Anadolu agency reported on Thursday. A group of Syrian refugees refused entry to Turkey, opened fire on police and border guards. As a result, one border guard was injured. Clashes between the government forces and the armed opposition have been on-going in Syria for over two years. According to UN statistics, the death toll in Syria has reached 70,000 and nearly three million people are in need of humanitarian assistance.
