SOME ALLOWANCE AND ASSISTANCE AUGMENTED

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ At its regular meeting on Saturday, the cabinet decided to increase some social allowances and assistance. These kinds of the social help that have not been changed positively since 2008 are going up 0.5-2 times taking into account an inflation rate and current cost of living. The sum dedicated to the social welfare is increasing MNT 13 billion, reaching MNT 24 billion. For example, each of 23 thousand 300 adults and 8 eight thous. 400 children aged under 16 years who need a permanent care will receive now MNT 60 thousand every quarter; a single parent with three or more children aged under 14 will receive 120 thousand a year; a family or a 18-year old who lost a shelter in sudden disasters--a single benefit of MNT 120 thousand; and twins or triplet--single benefit of MNT 1 million and 3 million, respectively. In addition, a State Prize holder and revolutionary veteran will receive MNT 150 thousand every month, a blind person--MNT 20 thousand a month; and the disabled child--MNT 200 thousand every year for transportation.
