Speaker: Western Governments Aim Psychological Warfare Against Iran

Tehran, Nov 9, IRNA -- Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Tuesday that the western governments policy vis-à-vis Iran amounts to psychological warfare. In an interview with Khaney-e Mellat reporter, he said that the US aims to overshadow the landmark anti-capitalism movement of the Wall Street and financial corruption in the US and said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has a longstanding record about the US enmity against Iran. 'Iranian officials have in the past 33 years learnt the strategies how to counter the US scenarios.' The US has created nuisance against Iran in various fields several times such as nuclear issue, human rights and the shameful plot to link Iran to the scenario to assassinate Saudi Arabian ambassador to Washington, he said. Larijani said that the US has resorted to anti-Iran conspiracy in a bid to cover up its internal problems and prevent Tel Aviv regime from disintegration. The US is also out to create discord among the Muslim nations, he said. Turning to the recent regional developments, Majlis speaker said the US and western states have no correct understanding of Iran’s situation and regional revolutions. The other countries view the US scenarios with doubt because they lack logical basis and are unbelievable, Larijani said./end
