State committee: Tolerance in Azerbaijan is based on historical roots

Aliyev / Tolerance in Azerbaijan is based on its historical roots, chairman of the Azerbaijani State Committee for Work with Religious Organisations Elshad Iskandarov said at a forum entitled 'State and Religion: increased tolerance in a changing world', today. "Azerbaijan is an ideal place for such events as the country respects people of other religions," he said. Azerbaijan is the only country that promotes inter-religious and inter-cultural development.
