STATE PRIZES AWARDED

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ On occasion of the 850th birth anniversary of Chingis Khaan, state orders and medals were awarded Wednesday to some foremost people. By the decree of the state Head, a title of People's Teacher went to academician A.Mekei, a teacher of the School of Mathematics and Computer Science at Mongolia's State University (MSU) and ward manager of the Institute of Mathematics; an actress at the Academic Theatre of Drama S.Sarantuya became the People's Actress. A title of State Honored Teacher was bestowed upon Ts.Delger, a teacher at University of Culture and Art; J.Yura, a director of the Polytechnic College of Industry; A.Mongontsetseg, an advisor to the Department of General and Analytic Chemistry at the MSU; G.Batsuuri, a teacher from Arkhangai aimag; and Ts.Maanigumben, a teacher from Khovsgol aimag. A State Honored Medical Doctor title went to Kh.Baast, a deputy head of the Gobi-Altai aimag's hospital; B.Gankholog, an advisory doctor of Dundgobi's hospital; and to D.Choijilsuren, a surgeon of Selenge aimag's hospital. A senior public administrative official T.Narankhuu became a State Honored Economist. G.Tsolmon and A.Davaakhuu, the Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet and Academic Ensemble of National Songs and Dance dancers, became State Honored Artists. Titles of State Honored Cultural Figure, State Honored Herdsman, State Honored Veterinarian were awarded other people. The Red Flag Order of Labour Merit was bestowed upon Z.Tuya, a concert-master at the State Philharmonics; the Red Flag Order of Military Merit--upon a Colonel V.Chimedsuren, a department manager of the Defense University; the Polar Star Order--S.Badamkhand, a teacher at the “Erdmiin Undraa” complex school and others. The Order of Military Merit went to a Colonel T.Olziibayar. The Honorary Medal of Labour was awarded four people. At the ceremony, the State Head Ts.Elbegdorj congratulated these awardees on the birth anniversary of Chingis Khaan and on being awarded. The same day, a head of the Cabinet Secretariat of Government Ch.Saikhanbileg awarded other people who have gained brilliant success at sectors of public administration, law, health, education, sciences, culture, art, sports and service.
