Strategic program considered

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The government for reforms considered on Wednesday a project on the middle-term program of Mongolia-Russia strategic partnership. The Minister of Foreign affairs L.Bold was ordered to negotiate the project with the Russian side and to introduce it again to the cabinet. If established, this program is expected to determine a concrete and comprehensive plan of trade and economic cooperation for the nearest five years, and to fully reflect the collaboration’s directions in politics, defence, security, law and humanitarian spheres and in international and regional matters. The suggestion to establish this program was sounded this year by the President Ts.Elbegdorj on May 20 in Chinese Shanghai and by the Premier AN.Altankhuyag on May 23 in Russian Saint-Petersburg at their meetings with the Russian leader V.Putin, and was accepted positively. Mongolia and Russia established the Agreement on friendly relations and cooperation on January 20 of 1993 and established the Strategic partnership in 2009.
