Syria should cut off the hands of interventionists: Iranian MPs

TEHRAN,July 30(MNA) - In a statement issued on Sunday, 245 Iranian MPs expressed their support for the Syrian nation and government and said that the Arab country should cut off the hands of interventionists. Following is the text of the statement: We, the representatives in the Majlis, express our delight at the fact that the acts of interference and plots of the hegemonistic country of the United States, Israel, and the West and the comprehensive support of reactionary regimes (for the Syrian opposition) on the one hand and (efforts by) extremist and violent groups that have become a tool in the hands of anti-Islamic powers on the other hand have been of no avail, and (we) express our support for the Syrian government and pray to God to resolve Muslims’ problems in this holy month of Ramadan. The Syrian government, which has always been in the line of resistance against Zionism and has been a defender and advocate of resistance, should expect Zionist plots, but (it) is definitely aware that all plots can be foiled only through perseverance and that reliance on the Great God will lead to an absolute victory. While supporting the reforms (in Syria) and approving of any solution that will lead to the people’s participation in (determining) their destiny, we, the representatives in the Majlis, are confident that global atheists and reactionary kings, whose existence depends on anti-Islamic superpowers, have never had any good intention. And the Syrian nation and government should determinedly cut off the hands of interventionists and be aware that such acts of interference are meant to provide help for the Zionist regime and give artificial respiration to this isolated regime, which has been put in a quandary due to Islamic revolutions in the region.
