Tehran, Ankara to help resolve Syria crisis: Iran

TEHRAN, Jan. 15 (MNA) – In a meeting late on Thursday in Ankara, Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized the necessity to make efforts to end the crisis in Syria. Larijani said that the Islamic Republic has always supported peoples’ right of self-determination. During the meeting, the two sides also discussed various issues such as Turkey’s decision to host an early warning radar as part of NATO’s missile defense system and the popular uprisings rolling across the Middle East and North Africa region.
