Tehrani Moqaddam was mainstay of IRGC missile program: Iranian commander

TEHRAN, Nov. 23 (MNA) – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) deputy commander said that Martyr Hassan Tehrani Moqaddam was the mainstay and architect of the IRGC’s missile program. Brigadier General Hossein Salami made the remarks during a ceremony held at the Iranian parliament’s building on Tuesday to commemorate IRGC personnel including Major General Hassan Tehrani Moqaddam, the director of the IRGC Jihad Self-Sufficiency Organization, who were killed by two huge explosions that occurred on November 12 at an IRGC munitions depot near the town of Malard in Alborz Province. He also said, “Martyr Tehrani Moqaddam was trying to find out how it is possible to hunt enemy’s moving warships in the sea using ballistic missiles.” He added that Tehrani Moqaddam also worked on developing advanced radar-evading unmanned aerial vehicles and managed to build UAVs that can travel hundreds of kilometers and send most precise images to the ground control.
