Thai PM underlines Thailand 4.0 during his trip to Songkhla

SONGKHLA, May 24 (TNA) – Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha delivered a keynote address on Thailand 4.0 policy and meet local small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) during his visit to the southern province of Songkhla on Wednesday. Gen Prayut and his entourage left Bangkok and flew aboard an army aircraft to Songkhla this morning at 7am as his keynote address entitled “Driving South Towards Thailand 4.0” is set to take place at the 60th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne International Convention Centre in Prince of Songkla University. The Thailand 4.0 initiative is a signature policy of the Prayut government aimed at fostering stable, prosperous and sustainable development of the country’s economy. A large number of people from the public and private sectors as well as business owners reportedly took part in the event, which began around 9.30am. After finishing his missions at the university, he will then travel to Hansa JB Hotel in Hat Yai district where he will grant supporting funds as well as clarify government’s assistance policies for local SMEs. He was scheduled to return to Bangkok this evening. (TNA)
