Threats Help Iran Emerge Stronger On Int'l Scene: Defense Minister

Mashhad, May 16, IRNA – Minister of Defense and Logistics of the Armed Forces Brigadier-General Ahmad Vahidi said on Tuesday that the repetitive and empty threats to the Islamic Republic of Iran have helped Iran emerge stronger on the international scene. He made the remarks when asked by reporters to comment on shift of Tel Aviv’s warmongering tone, at the end of 100th session of the cabinet ministers in Mashhad. He said that the shift of Tel Aviv’s stand is nothing to be considered, because, the Zionist regime got used to making empty threats and then backtracking. Vahidi said that the Zionist regime uses warmongering tone to cover up its own difficulties. He said that Tel Aviv is suffering from inner- conflict and is covering up its own difficulties by making empty statements to draw attention of the western governments. “Tel Aviv was making war threats in the context of a concerted conspiracy against the Islamic Republic of Iran, but, the Zionist regime got to understand that it is putting its existence at stake.”/end
