Timor-Leste satisfies with Thai support: Thai FM

BANGKOK, May 20 (TNA) -- Timor-Leste is satisfied with aid given by Thailand in the fields of agriculture, public health, tourism and a boosting of human and organisation efficiency, said Thai Foreign Affairs Minister Don Pramudwinai on Saturday. Mr Don told journalists as he concluded his three-day official visit to that country that he had discussed relations between the two countries during the past 12 years with Hernani Coelho, minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Timor-Leste. Thailand is still supporting Timor-Leste to further develop the country for the future, especially in the field of fishery, said Mr Don. Mr Don said he and Mr Coelho signed the agreement on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and official passports of the two countries to facilitate official contacts in future. He also attended the swearing-in ceremony of the President-elect Francisco Guterres Lu Olo and the raising flag ceremony as Timor-Leste commemorated the restoration of Independence Day on May 19.
