TS.ELBEGDORJ MEETS EUROPEAN AMBASSADORS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The President Ts.Elbegdorj received on Thursday Ambassadors of the European Union (EU) and its member states to Mongolia.
Expressing thanks for an audience on behalf of himself and other Ambassadors, the EU Ambassador Mr Markus Ederer underlined that Ambassadors of the EU countries are interested in some reforms after this year's parliamentary election, the local elections, matters on developing the democracy, implementation of justice of law and combat against corruption. He expressed satisfaction with an achievement in the relations between Mongolia and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
In turn, the President said he was satisfied with meeting with the Ambassadors, and then reported to them Mongolia has become a participant state of the OSCE. He also talked about results of the both parliamentary and local elections which exploited electronic devices for the first time.
Saying many Mongolians have been educated in Europe, the President hoped that the cooperation in the educational sector will continue further with Europe. In conjunction with this, Mongolia really wants to join the Bologna Process.
In addition, the President requested the Ambassadors to reflect a matter on recognizing Mongolian educational diplomas in the EU countries in their lists of agendas of the bilateral cooperation. Then he believed that high-level representatives of the EU countries will take part in the 7th Conference of the Community of Democracies (CoD) to run April of the next year in Ulaanbaatar.
