TS.ELBEGDORJ RECEIVED THAILAND'S PM

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/The President of Mongolia received Ms Yingluck Shinawatra, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand during the high level meeting of ASEM.
Last year, Mongolia's economy maintained high growth largely influenced by the mining sector, said the leader of Mongolia. The two sides can cooperate in running railway and roads on a vast territory of Mongolia, and "we highly value the relations and cooperation with Thailand," he said. In these ties, the Princess of Thailand Maha Chakri Sirinidhorn has played an important role who paid two visits to Mongolia and who has been implementing and financing a project here, he said.
High level visits and experience sharing are important for our countries who share democracy values and have parliament governance, the President said and invited Thailand to the ministerial meetng of the Community of Democracies which is to run in July of 2013. He also confirmed an invitation for Ms Shinawatra to visit Mongolia with a visit.
The Mongolian side is interested in establishing Mongolia-Thailand direct flights, "it will open opportunity to develop a cooperation in a tourism sector," he said.
The leader of Mongolia believes that Thailand, one of the important members of Association of Southeast Asian Nations /ASEAN/ and of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation /APEC/, will assist Mongolia in its participating in high level meetings of Southeast Asia, in joining the APEC, and in becoming a negotiation partner of the ASEAN.
In response, the PM of Thailand, Ms Shinawatra said her country is interested in cooperating with Mongolian in the mining sphere, and ways of a collaboration in other sectors may be searched by the two sides' ministers.
Then she thanked Mr Elbegdorj forthe audience.
During the high level meeting, Mr Ts.Elbegdorj met with the Presidents of France, Russia and Myanmar to share views on bilateral relations and cooperation.
