TU to host TU ASEAN Expo 2017

BANGKOK, Feb 1 (TNA) -- Thammasat University is set to hold the TU ASEAN Expo 2017, where the event would gather all knowledge and entertainment from around the ASEAN region in one place and is the first of such event in the country. Director-general of TU ASEAN Studies Centre Prapat Thepchatree said that the TU ASEAN Expo 2017 is scheduled to be held between March 23-26 at TU Tha Prachan campus. He said it would be the biggest ASEAN expo in the country, as the region celebrates its 50th anniversary, where the event would also help prepare Thailand for the ASEAN 4.0 initiation. Visitors would able to enjoy activities that would give knowledge and entertainment through a series of exhibitions, seminars, cultural performances, and enjoy shopping for ASEAN products. Exhibitions set for the event would also include a showcase in remembrance of His late Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, such as the King of Kings, Father of Thai Rice Research and Development, and Places Where Our Father Went exhibitions, as well as an art showcase by Sompong Leerasiri, a sand artist, called Sand Art for King. Two main seminars would be held during the event, the TU-ASEAN Forum and TU-ASEAN International Conference 2017, which would be participated in by famous ASEAN experts from across the region, where they would focus their discussions on the 50th anniversary of ASEAN and ASEAN 4.0.
