Turkey condemns bomb attack in Pakistan

ANKARA (A.A) - January 18, 2012 - Turkish Foreign Ministry condemned the attack in Punjab state of Pakistan which killed 18 people and wounded many others. The ministry expressed sadness over the death of 18 people during the terrorist attack which was staged on January 15, and offered condolences to the families of victims. Turkey sincerely shares the pain of Pakistani people, and repeats its solidarity feelings with the Pakistani government, said the Ministry. On Sunday, a bomb blast killed 18 people and wounded at least 20 others while hundreds of Pakistani Shiites had gathered for a traditional procession to mark the end of 40 days of mourning following the anniversary of the death of Imam Hussein. The explosion went off as the mourners came out of a mosque.
