Turkish deputy premier addresses G20 meeting in Mexico

MEXICO CITY (A.A) - February 26, 2012 - Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan on Saturday addressed participants of a G20 meeting of finance ministers and central banks governors in Mexico City. Speaking at a working dinner hosted by Mexican President Felipe Calderon, Babacan warned that despite some recent good news in Europe's economic prospects, countries still needed to act with caution on certain issues such as Greece's regaining competitive power and market access, ratification process in European parliaments, Europe's protective walls and strengthening the European Financial Stability Fund.   Babacan called for medium-term programs which would make future more predictable as well as structural reforms to regain a global balance, and avoidance from protective measures.
