Turkish deputy premier attends Jasmine Revolution anniversary celebrations in Tunisia

TUNIS (A.A) - January 15, 2012 - Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Besir Atalay attended the first anniversary celebrations of Jasmine Revolution in Tunisia. Atalay said that Tunisia became a source of inspiration for the countries in its region with January 14 revolution. The revolution initiated a new period in North Africa and the Middle East, he added. The revolution showed that nothing could prevent the will of people asking for freedom, reform and social justice, said Atalay. Atalay stressed that Turkey, from the beginning, supported Tunisians in their fight for freedom, justice and democracy, and added that Turkey wanted to further develop its relations and cooperation with Tunisia.
