Turkish premier receives Iranian foreign minister Salehi

ANKARA (A.A) - January 18, 2012 - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan received Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi in Ankara on Wednesday. Salehi arrived in Ankara on Wednesday and said at Ankara's Esenboga International Airport that he wished talks between the P5+1 (five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany) and Iran on Iran's nuclear program would take place in Istanbul, Turkey. Asked what his message would be to the Turkish people, Salehi said, "the Turkish people are our brothers and sisters." Salehi is expected to be received by Turkish President Abdullah Gul and have a meeting with Minister of Environment and Urban Planning Erdogan Bayraktar the same day.
