Turkish president receives Colombia's vice president

ANKARA (A.A) - January 10, 2012 - Turkish President Abdullah Gul received Colombia's Vice President Angelino Garzon in Ankara on Tuesday. The meeting at the Presidential Palace was closed to press corps. Meanwhile, Turkish Customs and Trade Minister Hayati Yazici had a meeting with Garzon. In the meeting, Yazici said that trade volume between Turkey and Colombia was 700 million U.S. dollars as of the end of November 2011, and the two countries should work to boost the figure. Garzon invited Turkish businessmen to invest in Colombia, saying that Turkey was ahead of many developed countries with its social prosperity and growth.
