Two Yemeni parties condemn Houthis’ occupation of UAE embassy in Sana'a

Sana'a, 20th August, 2015 (WAM) – Two of Yemen's major political parties have condemned the occupation of the UAE embassy by the Houthi group in Yemeni capital Sana'a. Abdullah Al Maqtari, spokesperson of the Nasserist Unionist People's Organisation, deplored the occupation as a violation of international law and diplomatic norms. Al Maqtari, also a secretary of the party's political bureau, called on the Houthi group to respect relevant international laws, demanded that they immediately evacuate the compound, and held them accountable for the consequences of this act. Meanwhile, a source at the General People's Congress denounced the move as ''unacceptable''.
