UAE condemns In Amenas attack in Algeria

Abu Dhabi, Jan 23, 2013 (WAM) - The UAE has condemned, in the strongest terms, the terrorist attack which targeted the In Amenas gas plant in Algeria killing more than 37 innocent people. Dr Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, expressed the UAE's solidarity with Algeria in its efforts to fend off terrorism and emphasised Algeria's legitimate right to preserve security and stability in its territory. The minister reiterated the UAE's unwavering rejection of all forms of terrorism. He expressed sincere condolences to the government and people of Algeria and to the families of the victims from other states, and wished speedy recovery for those injured in the terrorist attack.
