UAE, Egyptian military carry on joint exercise

Abu Dhabi (WAM): The armed forces in the UAE and Egypt are carrying on their joint Emarati-Egyptian military exercise and joint land, sea, air and presidential guard trainings with the aim of unifying joint action within a unified framework and strategy and bolstering military co-operation between the two brotherly countries. The exercise aims at training in planning, carrying out military operations and streamlining the unified procedures for planning the execution of operations. The UAE and Egyptian air forces are taking part in joint air trips to the training sites using F16 fighters, Mirage 2000 and C130 transport aircraft aimed at raising readiness and combat efficiency and exchanging operational and tactical expertise. The exercise will also see the participation of marine forces of both countries together with the practical applications that mimic operations in real wars. The exercise is aimed at enriching expertise in the different participating units with the aim of meeting the requirements of joint military action, which is highly important and plays an effective role in raising military efficiency through the exchange of military expertise and skills with Egypt in all combat military operations. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
