UAE envoy meets Pope Benedict XVI

Rome, Jan 9, 2013 (WAM) - UAE non-resident ambassador to the Vatican Dr Hassa Abdullah Ahmed Al Otaiba has attended a reception hosted by Benedict XVI on the occasion of the New Year. Dr Hassa conveyed greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to Pope Benedict XVI . Pope Benedict XVI asked the ambassador to pass on his greetings to the UAE leadership and his wishes of further progress and prosperity to the people of the UAE. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
