UAE envoy meets Pope Francis

VATICAN, 14th January, 2016 (WAM) -- Dr. Hessa Abdullah Al Otaiba, the UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain and non-resident Ambassador to the Vatican City has attended the annual ceremony called by Pope Francis with members of the diplomatic corps in the Vatican's Apostolic Palace. The event, held to exchange greetings on the new year, was attended by Archbishop Pietro Parolin, the See's equivalent of a prime minister, and other cardinals. The UAE Ambassador conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Supreme Council Members, Their Highnesses Rulers of the Emirates.
