U.A.E., Uzbekistan sign judicial cooperation agreements

Abu Dhabi (WAM): The United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Uzbekistan have signed three agreements for judicial and legal cooperation. The agreements were signed earlier yesterday by U.A.E. Justice Minister Sultan bin Saaed Al Badi and his Uzbek counterpart Nigmatilla Yoldoshev who is currently heading a delegation which is currently visiting the U.A.E.. The agreements pertain to extradition of criminals, transfer of convicted persons and mutual legal assistance on criminal matters. Al Badi praised bilateral cooperation with Uzbekistan in the judicial field and emphasised the importance of stepping up cooperation and exchanging expertise between the two countries. Yoldoshev expressed his country's keenness to enhance the ties of friendship and cooperation with the U.A.E.. Following the signing ceremony, the two ministers held a meeting which touched on a number of topics, including future plans for cooperation.
