UN DIRECTOR FOR ASIA AND PACIFIC VISITS

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Industry and Agriculture Sh.Tuvdendorj received Friday the executive director of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (UNFAO) and a director responsible for Asia and Pacific region Hirouki Konuma. The latter emphasized Mongolia’s efforts into successful realization of Memorandum and Medium-term Cooperation Programme of 2012 with the UNFAO, and thanked Mongolia for its "triumphant implementation of technical cooperation projects and programmes hosted by the UNFAO". He also expressed a gratitude for successful organization of the 32nd Asia-Pacific conference in Ulaanbaatar March 10-14 this year, and invited the Minister to the UNFAO general forum to be held in Rome in 2015. The “Best Worker” award was bestowed upon Mr Hirouki Konuma during his visit for his valuable contribution to the cooperation between Mongolia and the Food and Agriculture Organization.
