UN HR Report, Part Of Anti-Iran Propaganda Campaign: Editor

Islamabad, March 14, IRNA – A Pakistani editor on Tuesday said that report of the United Nation's special human rights rapporteur on Iran is part of western propaganda campaign against the Islamic Republic.
Talking to IRNA Javed Siddiq resident editor of daily ‘Nawa-i-Waqt’ termed the report as highly biased adding that the objective of the report is to portray dark image of Iran.
Ahmad Shaheed released his latest report on the situation of human rights in Iran on March 6, in time for the 19th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.
Shaheed claimed in his report that rights violations have increased in Iran.
Iranian Justice Minister Morteza Bakhtiyari described Ahmad Shaheed's report as an 'unforgivable injustice' and accused the UN rapporteur on human rights of being dishonest.
Javed Siddiq added that human rights organization have always followed ant-Iran agenda and issued false reports. He said that international human rights organizations have become silent spectators of gross human rights violations in Palestine by the Zionist regime.
The editor said that why West is not saying any word to the brutal killing of innocent Afghan citizens by an American soldier in Kandahar.
He was of the view these reports are baseless and lack credibility. The analyst added that such reports are prepared with an objective to defame countries.
He went on to say that human rights organizations have been issuing reports against Pakistan and China. “They want to target countries by presenting baseless reports, these reports are exaggerated and biased, said the analyst.
“I don’t think that these reports can affect the position of any country,” said the editor. The intellectual noted these reports are just propaganda tools. “Iran cannot be isolated by such false reports,” Javed Siddiq confidently said.
Allaeddin Boroujerdi, the head of Iran's National Security Commission and Foreign Policy in the Islamic Republic Parliament, accused Shaheed of being a U.S. agent, saying that: 'instead of contacting Iranian officials, he just contacts anti-Revolutionary elements.'
