US Hatching New Plot Against Syrian Gov't: Iranian Envoy

Moscow, Dec 23, IRNA – Iran's Ambassador to Russia Reza Sajjadi said Saturday that the United States is hatching another plot against the legitimate government of Syria under the pretext that there are chemical weapons in that country. On his weblog, Sajjadi said this is the US that uses chemical weapons in Syria with the help of its elements. However, he said, the US accuses the Syrian government of using such weapons against the defenseless people in that country while some of those weapons are in the hands of the Syrian opposition groups. The Iranian diplomat described the new US plot against Syria as dangerous, calling on the independent observers not to let the hired terrorists commit another crime against the Syrian people. He further said those terrorist groups are being supported by the West./end
