US Is Nobody To Put Pressure On Iran : Pak MP

Islamabad, Sept 11, IRNA – A senior Pakistani lawmaker said here Monday Iran being a sovereign state has a right to pursue independent policies and US is nobody to put pressure on the Islamic Republic.
Talking to IRNA, Senator Mushahid Ullah Khan of Pakistan's Muslim League-Nawaz slammed the western double standards observed against Iran.
The Senator said that the US polices against Iran have failed. “The western countries should treat Iran 'respectfully' instead of adopting confrontational policies,” he opined.
“The US has to realize that their policies are counter-productive”, he said. The PML-N spokesperson went on to say that only respectful and brave nations like Iran can survive in today’s world.
Mushahid Ullah Khan was of the opinion that American policies in Afghanistan have failed, adding, 'They have bombed the whole country but failed to achieve their goals!'
He added that the US citizens are facing humiliation throughout the world because of their government's biased policies.
The Parliamentarian said that Canada should not have ended its diplomatic relations with Iran under the political pressure imposed by the American and Zionists entities.
Mushahid Ullah Khan expressing his views over the statement of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei that Iran will not relinquish its peaceful nuclear right said that Iran is a brave nation and has stood up firmly against western plots.
'I stress that the Islamic Republic has never been after nuclear weapons and that it will never give up the right of its people to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes,” said the Supreme Leader in his address to Non Aligned Movement (NAM) summit.
“Why is the US objecting on Iran’s peaceful nuclear program but has become a silent spectator to the military nuclear program of Zionist regime?” Mushahid Ullah Khan asked. The lawmaker noted that there should be a uniform policy on world’s nuclear programs.
PML-N spokesperson said that the policies of Obama administration are creating distance between him and American people.
“Although the Americans are a media guided nation but they are not supportive of the policies of their government,” he viewed./end
