US-Switzerland Disagree On Iran

Vienna, Jan 4, IRNA – Several weeks after the resignation of Swiss foreign minister, it was disclosed that the USA and Switzerland have had disagreement on Iran. The issue was disclosed in an interview of the US Ambassador in Bern Donald Beyer with a Swiss Newspaper. The ambassador said that former Swiss Foreign Minister Micheline Calmy-Rey resisted against US policy of opposition to buying gas from Iran by Swiss firms. Beyer, in an interview with Swiss Weekly M. Zuntag, said that Calmy-Rey had supported gas buying contract by Swiss firms from Iran. The weekly reminded that the US had also protested Calmy-Rey presence in Iran with scarf. The new Swiss Foreign Minister Didier Burkhalter is from Liberal Democrat Party which is well-known as “Economics Party.”/end
