US Trying To Divert Islamic Awakening Movements: Iran’s Culture Min.

Algiers, December 19, IRNA – Iran's Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini said that the US is trying to distract the Islamic Awakening Movements for the sake of its own benefits by interfering in the internal affairs of Muslim countries. Hosseini made the remarks on Sunday at the 7th Conference of Culture Ministers of Muslim Countries which is currently underway in Algeria’s capital of Algiers. He emphasized the role of culture in preserving the interests of Muslim nations and societies, while noting the justice is the main prerequisite for materialization of peace and dialogue among civil societies. “Without implementing justice, it is not possible to speak about peace and dialog,” the minister added. Meanwhile, Moroccan Culture Minister Bin Salim Himmish also delivered a speech on the problems facing the materialization of cultural objectives of Muslim countries. Himmish said that the main problem facing the Muslim countries is the interference of the US in affairs of Muslim countries and efforts aimed at dictating the US policies on Muslim countries. Referring to Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities, the Moroccan minister pointed out that the US is propagating against Iran’s nuclear program. “Unfortunately, the US through its double-standard diplomacy is supporting Israel’s atomic activities,” Himmish said with regards to different approaches of the US while dealing with atomic activities of Iran and the Zionist regime./end
