U.S. urges MKO to accept closure of Camp New Iraq: report

TEHRAN, Dec. 21 (MNA) – The Obama administration on Monday urged members of the Mojahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) who are based at Camp New Iraq, which was formerly known as Camp Ashraf, to accept a UN-brokered deal to move to another location, according to the Washington Post. U.S. officials also warned the group against threatening to resist the closure of the camp and called on them to be “realistic” and stop using “maximalist” language of defiance.
