Vietnamese Defense Minister meets Thai PM

BANGKOK, Feb 23 (TNA) -- Vietnamese Defense Minister General Ngo Xuan Lich Wednesday meets Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha during his visit to Thailand. General Lich is leading a high-ranking Vietnamese defense delegation on the visit to Thailand at the invitation of Thailand’s Defense Ministry. According to Deputy Government Spokesman Lt Gen Wirachon Sukhontapatipak, General Prayut reaffirmed Thailand’s determination to boost bilateral trade value to US$20 billion within 2020 as agreed earlier. General Prayut and General Lich also discussed about expanding military cooperation and high-ranking delegation exchanges between the two countries. General Lich earlier on Wednesday met with his Thai counterpart Prawit Wongsuwan at Defense Ministry, during which he formally invited Prawit to visit Vietnam. (TNA)
