VP : Nothing can Create Gap Between Iran-Azerbaijan

Baku, Sept 6, IRNA – Vice-President Seyyed Hassan Mousavi said here Wednesday after meeting with President Elham Aliev, “Keeping in mind the Iranian and Azerbaijani nations’ interests and cultural commonalities, no factor can create a gap between the two nations.
Mousavi who was speaking with an IRNA reporter here Wednesday night added, “The Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan have ever since remote past enjoyed goof relations and we hope in the future, too, we would still be witnesses to the expansion of the two countries’ comprehensive relations.”
Referring to his meeting with the Azerbaijani President Aliev, the Iranian vice president reiterated, “Delivering the written message of President Ahmadinejad to the President of Azerbaijan was a turning point in the relations of the two countries, the beginning of which as right today.”
Considering his Wednesday meeting with President Aliev of significant importance in bilateral relations, Mousavi said, “In addition to delivering the IRI President’s important message, ways for expansion of the two countries’ cooperation in cultural and economic fields were discussed, and it was agreed that the concerned ministers would survey the matter in details during the upcoming bilateral sessions.”
The Iranian Vice President and the Head of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization Mousavi reiterated, “Beyond doubt the strengthening of bilateral relations in cultural, economic and academic fields would lead to comprehensive cooperation between the two neighboring republics.”
The Iranian top official arrived in Baku to participate at the International Silk Way Conference.
