We wish to make cultural cooperation with UAE stronger than economic one, says French Minister

Paris: (WAM) - Minister of Culture and Communication of the French Republic, Aurelie Filippetti hailed the great role given by the UAE to culture and knowledge, wishing that cultural cooperation would be stronger than the political and economic ties between France and the UAE.
In an interview with Emirates News Agency ,WAM, on the side-lines of the opening of the Louvre Abu Dhabi's permanent collection in Paris, Aurelie Filippetti said that the Abu Dhabi Louvre will become an exceptional artistic and cultural platform in the modern era.
She added, " Rare and exceptional pieces of art which will be showcased at the Louvre Abu Dhabi during its official opening in the UAE, have been selected and overseen by the best experts in both France and the UAE, where we are also working to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the field of special forming of remains and rare artefacts." Aurelie Filippetti expressed her satisfaction on what the UAE and France have achieved in the field of cultural cooperation, stressing that the two country's relations are very old but they also need to be developed to be on par with the international cultural movement.
She also wished that the cultural collaboration would witness more development between the two sides.
The French minister underscored the importance of cultural exchanging in order to enhance joint commonalities and extend communication bridges between the UAE and France. She also pointed out that the country's leadership is giving interest to the innovative artefacts of other civilisations and utilise them as real ways to communicate with the peoples.
She also added that culture is giving interest to the cultural activity of France and the UAE and the provision of their products and represented in special events and activities. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
