Wild Boars’ thank you party filled with gratitude and praises
BANGKOK, Sept 7 (TNA) -- The Government organized a party for about 10,000 people at the Royal Plaza in the evening of Thursday to express gratitude for all people involved in the rescue of young footballers and their coach from the Moo Paa (Wild Boars) Academy team from Tham Luang cave in Chiang Rai province in June and July.
The government received permission from His Majesty the King to hold the “United as One” party at the Royal Plaza. His Majesty the King also supplied foods and sent his written message of gratitude for people responsible for the rescue mission during June 23 and July 10.
Participants in the party included the 12 Wild Boars footballers aged 11-16, Narongsak Osotthanakorn, former governor of Chiang Rai province who commanded the rescue mission, naval and foreign divers, and those responsible for water pumping, shaft surveys and other supportive activities near the cave.
Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha expressed gratitude towards His Majesty the King for support for the party and praised all people involved in the tough rescue mission which, he said, was successful and thus made history.
Gen Prayut also praised Sqn Ldr Saman Gunan who died in a dive inside the flooded cave during the rescue mission.
The young footballers expressed gratitude towards their rescuers and promised to be good people and be helpful in return. (TNA)
