WORKS OF MINISTRY OF INDUSTRY AND AGRICULTURE

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Ministry of Industry and Agriculture reported on Thursday on its works done in 100 days after establishment of the cabinet for reforms. The Ministry has selected manager companies to deliver reserved meat to consumers. Some 14 thous.and tons of meat have been delivered to the capital city and 1.0 thousand tons--to Darkhan and Erdenet cities each for a 2013 spring consumption. In conjunction with this, management contracts on distributing the meat have been established with three companies. In frames of a sub-programme on stabilizing prices of consumer goods, soft-loans of MNT 248 billion will be given from the Bank of Mongolia to the private sector with objectives to create meat and flour reserves, stabilize their price, increase storage for foods, develop the intensified animal husbandry. A work has started to reserve 16.0 thousand tons meat in accordance with the related law. On October 20, a measure titled “New Era of Industry” took place in the State House with participation of 600 producers. Within the event, a trilateral contract on buying national products was established among the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the Railway Management Authority and other biggest organizations. Thanks to prompt measures for harvesting in a technological term, Mongolia harvested 471.8 tons grain, of which 458.3 tons wheat, also 239.0 thousand tons potatoes, 97.5 thousand tons vegs, 44.5 thousand tons fodder plants and 20.5 thousand tons oil plants. The country can fully provide its population with wheat and potatoes and supply 52 per cent of vegetables. B.Khuder
