Yemen to take Turkey as model in social security area

SANAA (A.A) - January 24, 2012 - Turkey has become a model country for Yemen in social security area. Yemen National Transition Council government's Health Minister Ahmed Qasem Al-Ansi said that they would make a revolution in health area, and they would take Turkey as a model country in social security. Yemen, after more than a year of political crisis, started to heal its wounds in November, 2011. Al-Anisi told AA on Tuesday that Yemen was struggling with a crisis in health sector, adding that his country made the most beneficial and important cooperations in this sector with Turkey. He noted that they wanted to exchange experiences with Turkey by hosting Turkish doctors, and by sending Yemeni ones to Turkey. We have high expectations from Turkey in medicine and medical equipment areas, he added. Al-Anisi said that they were following the reforms which were made in health insurance area in Turkey, adding that they wanted to make some arrangements in this area in Yemen with the help of Turkish experts.
