Zaki Nusseibeh Awarded the European - Arab Cultural Prize 2013

Abu Dhabi, May 27, 2013 (WAM) - Zaki Nusseibeh, the Cultural Adviser at the UAE Ministry of Presidential Affairs, has been awarded the European-Arab Cultural Prize 2013 for his contribution to the strengthening of European Arab cultural ties over the last forty years. The award was given at a special Richard Wagner Gala musical evening held in the Leipzig Opera House by the European Cultural Foundation on May 21st. A special film shown during the ceremony, carried live by German television, highlighted the great cultural movement in the UAE. Other personalities honoured during the ceremony from the worlds of film, music, design, and literature included Jerry Buzek, ex-President of the European Parliament, Opera singers Florian Vogt and Angelika Kirchschlager, film star Armin Mueller-Stahl and design icon, Karl Lagerfeld. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
