Zionist regime is doomed to collapse : Iran`s president
TEHRAN,Nov.8 (MNA) -- During an interview with the Egyptian state-owned newspaper Al Akhbar, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad commented on the remarks that Israeli President Shimon Peres made on November 4, in which he said that a military option to stop the Islamic republic from obtaining what he called “nuclear weapons” was nearer.
“The Zionist regime is destined to collapse, and that collapse will happen soon enough,” Ahmadinejad said.
Iran is making great progress and is becoming more capable day by day, and “that is why it has succeeded in entering the international competition,” he stated.
He added, “Israel and the West, particularly the U.S. are afraid of the role and capabilities of Iran, and therefore are attempting to drum up international support for a military campaign against Iran, which is meant to” deter Iran.
The global bullying powers “must be aware that Iran will not allow them to take any action against it,” he stated, adding, “Iran will not remain silent in the face of any military aggression against it.”
Ahmadinejad also said, “Iran does not possess any atomic bomb while the Zionist regime, which possesses 300 nuclear warheads,” is posing a serious threat to the entire region.
“Washington is seeking to save Zionism, but it will not be able to do so,” he added.
“Israel can be likened to a kidney that has been transplanted, but the body has rejected it,” he commented.
In reply to a question about the U.S. efforts to sever the link between Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, and Hamas, Ahmadinejad said that such attempts are meant to help save the Zionist regime, but “it will not be able to save this regime.”
