Project for Covering Main Waterway Tunnel of Tanchon Power Station Completed

Pyongyang, May 18 (KCNA) -- Soldier-builders of the Public Security Forces successfully completed the project for covering the main waterway tunnel of the Tanchon Power Station in the section undertaken by them

Finding a breakthrough for the project in science and technology, commanding officers invented and introduced more than 10 technical innovations including the proposals conducive to raising the capacity of winches, mixers, vibration tamping machines and other equipment through a mass technical innovation movement, thus saving manpower and materials and increasing work results.

In order to increase the proportion of mechanization in pit work, soldier-builders manufactured equipment to suit the working conditions and thus increased the speed of the covering construction 1.5 times than before.

They have actively introduced advanced construction methods and conducted the work for managing mine cars and organizing cross transportations in a substantial way.

Soldier-builders have also revitalized the operation of the base for self-reliance, thus making remarkable achievements in the project. -0-
