Project "E-QUALITY" in Kyrgyzstan. Results

Bishkek, May 17, 2023. / Kabar /. Today, on May 18, a press conference was held at Kabar News Agency on the project "E-QUALITY - Digital Education for Social and Financial Inclusion and Gender Equality", implemented with funding from the external activities program of the European Union and the Delegation of the European Union in the Kyrgyz Republic.

The speakers spoke about the goals, outcomes and results of the project.

According to the E-QUALITY project coordinator, representative of the Bulgarian Chamber of Education, Science and Culture Preslav Dimitrov, the team managed to create a system that will help Kyrgyz migrants develop financial knowledge and acquire digital skills.

The project "E-Quality" - Digital Education for Social and Financial Inclusion and Gender Equality "began its work in 2021 with the support of the European Union and identified three pilot regions for the launch of the project: Osh, Naryn and Issyk-Kul.

The aim of the project was to develop new digital literacy, entrepreneurship and leadership skills among socially vulnerable groups in the Kyrgyz Republic, such as young migrants and low-skilled women, by creating and promoting a sustainable model of social inclusion.

“We have researched and studied the needs of migrants in Kyrgyzstan, created modules for training, after which they will receive certificates,” Dimitrov said.

As noted by the head of the expert group of the E-QUALITY project, Rector of the University Adam Svetlana Sirmbard, the peculiarity of the migrants' need for education is to create comfortable tools that allow them to combine study with work.

“Now the project consists of 15 modules, which you can view on the platform. In addition, thanks to digital tools, we launched the AcademyInAQA electronic platform, a mobile application with the introduction of a cyber assistant.

The peculiarity is that it can advise participants at any time of the day or night, that is, students never feel alone in the learning process. At any time - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - they have support in the form of a cyber-mentor - artificial intelligence, always ready to help," Svetlana Sirmbard said.

It is convenient for students to work on any type of device: computers, tablets, smartphones. So, as of March 1, 2023, 1,697 people are already actively participating in training, assessing their skills according to the presented training modules, and undergoing training at a convenient time for themselves.

The head of the Department of Primary Vocational Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic Gulnura Mamyrova added that this project helps participants expand earning opportunities in the modern world.

“The project proposes a step-by-step equipping of centers with methodological recommendations for creating e-learning micro-courses, access to the InAQA Academy e-learning platform with training modules on digital and financial literacy and other key skills necessary for labor migrants, and access to digital tools for creating assessment materials, virtual laboratories, video materials , video courses. Licenses for iSpring, Zoom, Prezi and Canva software were also awarded for the further operation of these centers,” said Gulnura Mamyrova.
