QCB Governor Participates in Plenary Session of WBG, IMF Meetings

Marrakech, October 13 (QNA) - HE Governor of Qatar Central Bank (QCB) Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saoud Al-Thani took part in the plenary session of the annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund being held during the period from October 9 to 15 in Marrakech. Meanwhile, the QCB Governor met with HE Governor of the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Reza Farzin, during which they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries in the financial and banking fields. HE Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saoud Al-Thani also met with HE Governor of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan Timur Suleimenov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Citibank John Dugan, Managing Executive Officer of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Asia) Dr. Jimmy Jim, and member of the board of directors and chief business officer of Euroclear Bank Valerie Urbain, on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund.
