Rice-Transplanting Nears Completion on Farms in DPRK

Pyongyang, May 31 (KCNA) -- The agricultural officials and workers and helpers of the DPRK put spurs to the struggle for finishing the rice transplantation on the main farm fields in the right time.

Officials of the Agricultural Commission and provincial rural economy committees launched the motivational work in various forms and ways to encourage the working masses to the immediate farming process, while providing sci-tech guidance on the farming.

South Hwanghae Province, which plays a big role in the country's agricultural production, carried out rice transplantation on more than 100 000 hectares of farm fields in a little over 15 days.

Such progress has been made on farms in North Phyongan and other provinces and cities across the country.

Those helpers from ministries, national institutions and other units, too, have turned out in the rice-transplantation campaign. -0-
