Russian lower house delegation arrives on official visit in UAE
ABU DHABI, September 25. /TASS/. A delegation from the Russian State Duma, or lower house of parliament, led by its speaker Vyacheslav Volodin arrived on a an official visit in the United Arab Emirates on Monday.
Upon the arrival, Volodin held talks with speaker of the UAE Federal National Council Saqr Ghobash.
The visit is expected to yield a cooperation agreement between the Russian State Duma and the UAE Federal National Council.
The Russian delegation includes deputy speaker of the State Duma Alexander Babakov, chairmen of the committees on industry and trade Vladimir Gutenev, on science and higher education Sergey Kabyshev, on agrarian issues Vladimir Kashin, on budget and taxes Andrey Makarov, on international affairs Leonid Slutsky, and on tourism Sangadzhi Tarbayev.
