4th meeting of Iran-Indonesia Joint Scientific Committee to be held in Jakarta

Tehran, Sept 24, IRNA - Deputy Minister of Science, Research and Technology for International Affairs Arsalan Qorbani said on Monday Iran and Indonesia are to hold the 4th meeting of their Joint Scientific and Technological Committee in Jakarta in 2013. 4th meeting of Iran-Indonesia Joint Scientific Committee to be held in Jakarta He made the remarks in a meeting with a visiting Indonesian prliamentary delegation in Tehran. Qorbani described expansion of Iran's scientific cooperation with neighboring and Islamic countries and also with regional organizations as among the top priorities of his ministry and said Iran has made progress in different fields of bio-technology, nanotechnology, aerospace, science and technology. Indonesian lawmaker and head of the two countries' parliamentary friendship group Amad Nizar Shehab said the visit of the Indonesian parliamentary delegation to Iran was aimed at boosting bilateral relations especially in the field of science and technology. He called for an increase in exchange of students between Iranian and Indonesian universities.
