UAE Health Ministry discusses cooperation with UK

Abu Dhabi: The UAE Ministry of Health has discussed the possibilities of increasing cooperation in the training, development, continuous medical education, quality assurance and adequate services with the UK. This came during a meeting of Undersecretary Ministry of Health, Dr. Mohammed Al Olama with the British delegation headed by Earl Howe, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Quality (Lords), UK. Dr. Amin Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for Medical Practices and Licensing, Dr. Youssif Al Serkal, Assistant Undersecretary for Health Sector, and Dr. Essa Al Al Mansoori, Director of International Organisations Department, were present in the meeting which was held in Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi. The meeting highlighted strategic partnership in the health field between both public and private sectors, the health education programs provided by the British government, quality assurance services and treatment abroad provided in the British hospitals, a list of the specialised and best clinics in Britain and ways of attracting British doctors to be part of the ministry's overseas doctors program. – Emirates New Agency, WAM –
